week to talk about stranger danger

April marks Autism Awareness
Month. The HRSB Autism Team invites you to participate in
Shine Blue - World Autism Awareness Day on Monday, April 4th. The actual day is April 2nd, however,
since this is on the weekend, we are suggesting that schools celebrate it on the following Monday.
SHES encourages all students to wear blue on April 4th. See this link for more information about
Autism Spectrum Disorders and Autism Awareness Day: Autism NS Events
All classes have talked about neighborhood safety.
Please review with your children at home:
Do not approach stopped cars.
Do not talk to strangers.
Walk with a friend.
Walk directly to and from school.
Grade 3 Agar/Josey and 4-5
students held a school wide bake sale and raised $583.70 for the
We 'We Create Change' event. The following link has photos, stories and updates on the
Sierra Leone Report: http://reports.freethechildren.com/country/sierraleone.
A heartfelt thank you for all of the support from our school community!
